At Robin's beach party last weekend, I got out of the car and put sunblock on Erica. Then I put sunblock on myself. Well, I missed my sandaled feet. I can honestly say that I have the worst sunburn that I've had since I had sun poisoning as a kid. It's a funny sandal pattern and hurts! I won't make that mistake again. The chemo made me extra sensitive to the sun and it combined with a beautiful sunny day and very white skin. Ouch!
I went out hunting yesterday, but it was not a really hard hunt. I did realize the effect that chemo has had on me. I went scrambling up a hill chasing after an animal, only to find exhaustion once my adrenalin stopped at the top of the hill. I literally had to sit down for about 20 minutes to wait for my head to stop spinning. After that, I took it much easier. It was an eye opener for me, because the only problems that I've had so far are just fatigue. This was my first time with dizziness and feeling that I just may pass out from doing too much.
Between this and the sunburn, it seems to be a good lesson about listening to my body and being a little more respectful of the chemo. However, I'll keep living life as normally as possible, just being mindful of my situation.

Just the fact that you have been able to do all the things that you do is a blessing. We all need to listen to what our body is telling us. You are doing so well with the Chemo, a little slowdown might not be all bad it will give the anamals a fair chance to defend them self.
Stay out of the sun do something good like go visit someone up in the mountains for a few days to relax, I know just the place.
Dad
Tim, I know the chemo rash puts you kinda back in to your teen years, but I did not think Uncle Frank and I would ever revisit the time your Dad was on a date with Joann ( I believe to meet her parents for the first time) and you had gone to the beach kinda like you just did, and you got so sunburned you actually were delirious. I am hoping we do not have to come over and put your sunburned body into an ice bath again. Well it is another painful way to be a teenager again. Seriously, I hope you heal quickly, I know the beach party you held in honor of Robin's birthday, for you was worth spending the day at the beach preparing it for her, sunburn or no sunburn. Heal quickly, we love you. LOve Aunt Sue and Uncle Frank
I was trying to remember where my parents were at. I do remember you coming over and really helping me out!
I am sure that your parents we no doubt cleaning up the mess from the rocket that you set off in the kitchen.
Hi Tim. I'm enjoying reading your blog and think about you often. It makes me feel good to read your positive comments. Vicke
